On 31st August 2022, the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies of the University of
Hargeisa celebrated commencement for its sixth cohort — the Class of 2022 — with the
President of the Republic of Somaliland, key government officials, foreign dignitaries,
and representatives from different collaborating universities.
Being a teaching and research institute, the Institute offers a two-year MA in Peace and
Conflict Studies designed to address the growing demand in the region by training
specialists in theoretical and practical dimensions of peace and conflict studies in hopes
to grow both domestic and global organizations working in the field.
