Faheema Haji-Ibrahim

Faheema Haji-Ahmed Haji-Ibrahim is currently a Ph. D candidate at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom (UK). Faheema also holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Science and Criminology (BA Hons) from Sheffield University, UK, and an MA (Hons) in teaching English Language from the University of Hull, UK. Faheema’s Ph. D thesis focuses on graduate employability in the context of Somaliland. Specifically, how recent graduates have transitioned into Somaliland‘s local labour markets. Looking at the role/s Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) play in helping their graduates to achieve sustainable employment.

Professionally, Faheema has an extensive background and experience in education project management, Learning and Development, as well as in teaching and training. She has worked in various teaching, training, and project management environments for well over ten years. Her experience includes working in several reputable UK based Universities, as well as in key Civil Service government departments (both locally in the UK and abroad). Additionally, she has worked with UK based private sector organisations such as Learn Direct.

Faheema has a keen interest in learning and development, continuous improvement, education resource management, student engagement and support. In addition, to pedagogy, curriculum design, research and language testing.
