The Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies in collaboration with UCL Institute of Education, University College London launched a week-long intensive course on Education, Conflict, and Peacebuilding. The course focuses on the interactions between education and conflict and the role of education in supporting peacebuilding in conflict-affected societies. Twenty students from different governmental and non-governmental institutions including ministries, universities, international organizations, and local non-governmental organizations were among the participants of the course. The President of the University officially launched the training and emphasized the role of education in escalating and de-escalating the conflict as well as promoting the peace and the peacemaking efforts.
