On October 4, 2016; the University of Hargeisa Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies and the University for Peace Africa Programme signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Institutions. The MoU is outlining research collaborations, academic exchanges, and helping the IPCS publish and disseminate its research products in high tech and quality publishers which contribute more effective attainment of the common objectives of the two institutions.

The MoU was signed by the President of the UOH Dr. Mohamud Yusuf Musse and Dr. Samuel Kale Ewusi, Director of the UPEACE Africa Programme.
